Chairs and Stools
We encourage you to try an original MusiComfort™ and experience the most comfortable, supportive, naturally efficient music chair in the world. For those in genuine need of a low-backed chair or stool, we present our ergonomically superior MusicPosture™ series—featuring quiet, “set-and-forget” MusiComfort-Softrock™ mechanisms; highly skilled American workmanship; and many, many colors from which to choose.
Traditional-looking enough for a rigid environment—such as that suffered by many classical musicians—the *accommodating* MusicPosture™ Concert Chair is also versatile enough to serve extra duty at a regular-height table or desk. Less lumbar-contoured than a MusiComfort™, with a slight forward tilt, the MusicPosture™ Concert Chair has a clear seat depth of 18” and a taller height range of 17” – 22” (floor to top of uncompressed seat). All other features—including synchronized Softrock™ action and a stable, unobtrusive base—are shared with our Standard Model MusiComfort™.
Front-edge sitters have taught us so much about chair design we decided to build a chair just for them. A slight forward tilt, shorter seat depth (16.5” clear), and modified back position make it possible for more bodies, even piano- and cello-playing bodies, to musically express themselves and sit on a whole chair—comfortably and supported—at the same time! All other features, including a thoughtfully wide 18” seat and optional 360° swivel, are shared with the MusicPosture™ Concert Chair.
You might say we ship one of these with every chair! All MusicPosture™ models feature the gently contoured seat and quickly removable back of our Standard Model MusiComfort™. In just seconds, without tools, you can create a comfortable, incomparable forward-tilted stool for drummers (MusicPosture™ Concert Chair for maximum foot freedom) or formally attired pianists (MusicPosture™ Short-Seat for smoother coattails). Very heavy musicians (250# - 350#) armed with a socket wrench can do the same with our Tall Extra-Large MusiComfort™.
Enormously practical for the young developing musician, our Student Model offers all the simple-to-use features and ergonomic sense (and highly stain-resistant fabric!) of the MusicPosture™ Short-Seat—with a height-adjustment range of 14” – 17”. Study time will be more comfortable, less fidgety, and as your child grows, so can the chair—in height and seat depth—via simple modifications by your MusiComfort™ dealer. Up to any height, up to 250 lbs., your child need never outgrow this chair.
A great stool begins with a great chair.
