MusiComfort
Heavy-Duty and Extra-Large Models

If you are taller than 6'3" or weigh more than 250 lbs., you came to the right place! With our Extra-Large MusiComfort-Softrock™ chair, you will enjoy the same ergonomic features, comfort, and warranty coverage—*up to 350 lbs.*— as your smaller accompanists, and you will not break this chair.

The Extra-Large features the same 15”- to 19.5”-tapered, body-contoured back of the Standard and Studio models. Its lower assembly is larger, heavier, and built around our severe-duty, synchronized, torsion-bar mechanism for a luxurious quality of movement. The 24”-wide, 21”-deep seat is padded with a slightly thicker, “cushier,” level-contour cut foam—a great favorite of our larger clients.

Musicians 6’3” to 7’ tall, weighing less than 350 lbs., will find no better-fitting, better-feeling chair than our *Tall* Extra-Large.  Very heavy drummers and pianists are encouraged to remove the chair’s back—a simple operation requiring only a socket wrench and a few minutes—to create the ultimate in comfortable, stable, adjustable stools.  Short, heavy musicians who find it physically difficult to get in and out of a low, armless chair will appreciate the added height of the Tall Extra-Large, especially if used with a Perfect Footrest.

If you weigh from 250 to 350 lbs. and are less than 6’3” tall, the *Regular* Extra-Large is just what the doctor ordered.  Because of its specialized design and use, we describe this chair’s compressed height range as similar to that of a Standard Model MusiComfort™.  It’s relaxed and low, and therefore more stable, comfortable, and efficient for most musicians under 6’3”.  A Perfect Footrest will further improve the stability and variety of your playing positions—and help remove pressure from the backs of shorter legs.

Musicians don’t have to position themselves relative to a table, desk, or computer keyboard, and usually find more comfort and stability a little closer to the Earth.
